Having participated in sports all my life, a strong swimmer (Swim Teacher and Coach for 17 years), keeping fit and flexible with stretching through Yoga, Pilates and as a marathon runner, I decided to qualify as a Personal Trainer and in late 2019 I completed my goal.  I loved helping my 121s and group session clients during the COVID pandemic in 2020/2021 for the lockdowns over Zoom.  Now we are back to face to face and can still do Zoom if that suits you.  Whether you want to lose a few pounds or tone up muscle or just get mobile, contact me today and get started!

A Bit About Me

Be motivated and enjoy fitness

Getting in shape shouldn’t be a punishment. It’s an amazing and empowering lifestyle decision that anyone can make. I believe in finding the pleasurable side of fitness; and while there may be a sore muscle or two along the way, the benefits of fitness is worth the discomfort. I have developed my training regime by working with a variety of people, and always love adapting my program to new clients.

Mobility is the key to life.  Flexibility is the range of motion in a joint or group of joints or the ability to move joints effectively through a complete range of motion.  I love exercising and teaching and the amazing feeling it gives me throughout my day.

I always have a great session with Maria.  She listens to my needs and goals and devises a plan to get me there.  She takes into consideration any previous or existing injuries and gives me small tips on how to strengthen those areas to prevent recurring injury.   Maria has a great way of making every session fun and enjoyable even if I’m swearing through a 30 second plank.
